Very useful application for anyone with snoring problems

I did a lot of investigating before finally deciding to purchase Snoring U. It seemed to have most of the features that I needed, but I was also very impressed by the quick and helpful responses of the developer to my questions prior to my purchase. I recently got a dental appliance to help with teeth grinding as well as snoring. I wanted to know how well this device works, and so I was looking for some way to monitor my snoring with and without the appliance. Snoring U is fairly simple to use and allows me to capture a graph of sounds I make while I sleep, a summary of the graph statistics, as well as an audio recording that can be analyzed later. The program has a "nudge" feature which can play a short audio alert when it detects snoring activity - and this audio is supposed to be useful to help a sleeper change positions to stop snoring. For my particular application I wasnt interested in this feature. But, a particularly nice feature of the app for me is its ability to work with a program called SU Master (available for free) which works on a PC or Mac. With this program you can use a wifi connection to transfer recorded sleep sessions from an iPod or iPhone to a computer, and then analyze it using a much more flexible user interface. Overall I think the program is very well designed and that it would meet the needs of most people who are trying to deal with snoring issues. I have recommended it to my dentist so that he can suggest it to his patients with snoring problems. There are a number of less expensive apps that purport to help with snoring problems, but for me Snoring U is well worth the additional cost because of its current features and the potential that it has for further development.
